"Concurrent" - two or more things occurring separately, but at the same time. That could work. I'm thinking "segmented" or "compartmentalized" might ring a bell, too. Oh, but who cares? You're back in touch, and you and Hassan are having wonderful new experiences. Yippee. Can't wait to read more.
